Winning in the game of life
Is something we must do,
If we want to be with our Lord
When this game is through.
Winning isn’t everything
Is what they sometimes say,
But really winning is what matters
In this game we play.
Winning on this earth
Gets you recognition from man,
But being a winner for the Lord
Is something that few people understand.
It doesn’t get you a trophy, medal, or ring
It gives the prize of heaven
Which is out of them all, the greatest thing.
So how do we win
This spiritual game?
We look at what Christ did
And try to do the same.
You don’t have and easy road ahead.
But when you mess up simply look to Christ
For that’s why His blood was shed.
So when your game clock strikes zero
And your life on earth is done
Can you look at God on that day
And say the game of life I’ve won.
