Today is the Day

Today is the day. Today is the day that you and I decide to make a change. Today is the day that you and I decide to win the fight. Temptations are something that are around us daily. Nothing has ever changed when it comes to temptations. We even read about how Christ was tempted in Matthew 4. Christ was tempted in all the same ways we are today. The difference is He knew how to overcome these temptations and win the battle against the devil. The fact that we are tempted will never change. We, however; can decide to make a change in the ways we handle these temptations. Everyone has their own "big" temptations. One temptation may not at all be a problem for one person but then it may be the downfall of another person. Everyone has their own struggles. I think it is time we started to do something about this. We are a people who always make excuses and say, "we'll that's just something I struggle with." Why does it have to be this way. Why don't we decide right here and right now that we are not going to struggle with this anymore. We constantly pray to God to help us with our struggles and temptations in life and He always comes through for us. Why don't we decided that today is the day we hold up our end of the bargain. Why don't we decide that we aren't going to let the devil beat us anymore. We need to remember those words of the Bible that say, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13. Also we read in Romans 8:31 it says, "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" We need to keep these scriptures in mind when dealing with temptations and use them and the rest of God's word to help us overcome and win the battle against the devil. Today is the day we stop making excuses about what we can and can't do and rely on God, lean on his everlasting arm, and trust in His word. So I give you this challenge and in doing so I challenge myself also. Trust in him, believe in him. He is always their to help you through your struggle, now it is time you do your part.
